Agenda
This year, the Ventura Motorsports Gathering (VMG) will encompass two days of activities, comprised of three separate events. Participants may sign up for any or all of the planned activities. This is a weekend not to be missed by any auto enthusiast. More details will be available in weeks to come, but the basic agenda for the weekend is as follows:
I. THE VMG TOUR - Saturday morning, July 11th, meet Downtown Ventura in the parking lot at the corner of Main and Palm, around 9:30. Cars will depart at 10:00 A.M. heading North up PCH (101) to Carpenteria, turning East on HWY 150 toward Ojai proceeding to a stop at a private auto/motorcycle museum for a refreshment and a visit. Next we will motor to Ojai for an elegant lunch, followed by travel down HWY 33 to the Old Creek Winery for a tasting featuring Old Creek wines. The tour will end here and participants may then proceed on their own.
II. THE VMG DINNER and PARTY – Saturday Night will be a special Downtown Ventura event with reserved parking along Main Street for participants with either VMG TOUR passes or VMG CAR SHOW passes. Substantial dinner discounts will be provided by many of the Downtown restaurants throughout the evening for TOUR and SHOW pass holders and their parties. Following dinner there will be a gathering and party featuring entertainment.
III. THE CAR SHOW AND CONCOURSE DE ELEGANCE – Sunday 12 July will be the Motorsports Gathering and Concourse De Elegance (Ferrari), 10:00 A.M. to 3 :00 P.M. in Mission Park, on the grass in beautiful Downtown Ventura. Ferrari will be featured this year with over 190 other classic, antique, modern and unique sports and race cars. There will be class judging, trophies, live entertainment, vendor displays, food, beer and wine.
Venue & Accommodations
This year's gathering will take place at Mission Park in Ventura.
Ventura and the surrounding area has many accommodation choices, however it is advised that you reserve your accommodations as soon as possible.
If selecting one of the hotels listed below, make sure to mention that you are attending the Ventruan Motorsports Gathering in order to take advantage of any discounts being provided by the hotel.
